Position Overview:  The Vice President of Finance is a senior-level executive responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, managing the financial planning and budgeting process, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and risk management.

Responsibilities

·       Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business objectives.

·       Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process.

·       Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the balance sheet, income, and cash flow statements.

·       Manage the company's cash flow and ensure that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.

·       Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.

·       Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.

·       Lead a team of accounting and finance professionals and ensure they have the resources and training to be successful.

·       Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting principles and financial regulations.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

·       CPA or CFA certification with strong Excel mastery

·       10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior management role – experience with a logistics or industrial business a plus! 

·       Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and risk management

·       Excellent leadership and communication skills – ability to work independently and as part of a team
