Job Description :

Our client is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to provide additional accounting, reporting and analysis of activity associated with the company's operations and growth initiatives and will assume duties regarding newly formed or to-be formed entities as well as work on month-end close functions, including reporting. Various ad hoc analyses will be requested from time to time. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and will work very closely with other finance team members, as well as with revenue cycle, operations, and other parts of the organization. 


 


This role will increase department capacity to handle increasing needs of the business. Several new companies have been formed or are being formed and the number of locations continues to grow. Specifically, the Accountant or Senior Accountant will:



  • Work closely with the CFO and other finance and revenue cycle operations to assess and report performance.

  • Develop, test, and deliver scheduled and ad hoc reports.

  • Coordinate scheduled and ad hoc data and analysis requests across operational units.

  • Assist with month-end processes.

  • Provide variance analysis as needed.

  • Work with outside companies and other divisions when necessary to process payment authorizations and requests.

  • Assist in the development of financial data collection and measurement tools.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly operating reports (MORs), working closely with other stakeholders to drive actionable insights.

  • Develop budgets for capital expenditures and specific operational areas such as marketing.

  • Provide support in drafting company policies in financial related areas (capital expenditures, grants of authority, etc.).


Required Qualifications :

The right candidate would need to possess standard accounting tasks (e.g., journal entries), report creation, and communication skills as well as the ability to work with operations managers along multiple levels in the organization and outside vendors. Specifically, the ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications and experiences:  



  • Successful demonstration of accounting skills with a minimum of five years of progressive accounting/finance. Individuals with healthcare experience are strongly encouraged to apply. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, Finance could be acceptable with sufficient Accounting hours on college transcript. Relevant work experience may be considered to substitute for the degree requirement but only if all other areas are met.

  • Experience in Great Plains Accounting software. NextGen experience preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience working with Tableau would be a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise good judgment in deriving solutions to day-to-day problems and/or unique situations.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to perform well in periodic high pressure or stressful situations and interact well with other staff members.

  • Ability to independently complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner and to perform follow-up on outstanding issues without being closely supervised.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and focus on accuracy.

  • Demonstrated success in effectively communicating, both written (including presentations and board materials) and orally.

  • Knowledge of intercompany transactions and real estate accounting.
