Job Description :

Long time, stable Chattanooga Manufacturing Company is looking to hire a Senior Process Engineer. This position is responsible for technical aspects of assigned processes and/or products. The person will monitor processes and/or products by collecting and analyzing data. Person recommends process improvements for optimizing production capacity, capability, profitability and quality. A person with experience and technical knowledge will develop new materials and/or improve existing materials to meet customer objectives. Person will have direct reports.


Required Qualifications :

1.Responsible for performing job duties in a safe and conscientious manner, 


2.Following all procedures, programs, and policies established for specific department and calling attention to any unsafe acts observed in the work of others.
3. Works closely with production, lab and maintenance team members and management to
address issues related to processes and/or products in our 24/7 manufacturing facility.
4. Quickly investigates any safety related issues and provides for prompt corrective actions.
5. Investigates root cause for customer complaints and provides recommended corrective
actions to prevent recurrence of the problem.
6. Develops and maintains procedures (SOP’s), work instructions (SPI’s), material
specifications and prints for assigned products to insure customer expectations are met.
7. Monitors production trends by statistical analysis and reacts to problems, trends and
opportunities within the production process.
8. Uses experience and technical knowledge to develop new materials and/or improve
existing materials to meet customer objectives.
9. Interacts with customers and Steward sales team to understand customer needs and to
provide prompt service.
10. Assists in capital projects by investigating new or improved processes or methods.
Estimates production capacity, quality or safety improvements to justify costs.
11. Trains production team members on new processes.
12. Maintains an understanding of evolving technologies relevant to our materials and
products and supports business development activities.
