Job Description :
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting and will interface with finance and non-finance professionals in accounting, finance and across business and corporate functions. The position provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate accounting, reporting, and financial systems expertise, individually and within a team of other functional experts on key business initiatives and special projects within the Company or specific Subsidiary.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
- Support the quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely and accurate generation of consolidated financial statements.
- Prepare, develop, and deliver timely and insightful financial reporting to the Company’s business leaders.
- Provide technical accounting support, including researching, analysing, and concluding on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promogulated by GAAP
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and research of accounting literature, as requested by management, including participating as a key contributor on projects implementing new accounting pronouncements issued by FASB.
- Possess a strong appreciation for data and information integrity, as well as fundamental accounting reconciliation concepts.
- Support implementation of financial process improvement initiatives and facilitate as needed.
- Highlight opportunities for process improvements including the development of new reports and analytics for management needs and cross-functional relationships throughout the organization to standardize across departments.
- Assist with monitoring intercompany processes, including reporting variances, reconciliation, resolution, etc.
- Liaison with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Support month end and quarter end close process.
- Assist with Treasury function, including debt covenant compliance, and cash forecasting.
- Help integrate newly acquired companies (M&A).
Required Qualifications :
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Seven plus years of accounting and/or finance experience with prior SaaS experience preferred.
- Desire to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Capacity to interpret data from multiple sources and report findings as well as utilizing the data to make and implement recommendations.
- Keen understanding of financial reporting and US GAAP
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to clearly articulate and explain financial and operational data to employees at a variety of levels in an organization.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and to make well-reasoned and timely decisions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills.
- High level of integrity, good work ethic, willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Must have a passion for accuracy and a desire to understand the “why”.
