Job Summary
The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for overseeing the daily and monthly functions of the accounting department. Responsible for general accounting and financial reporting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and statement of cash flows. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance within accepted accounting policies and principles.
Essential Functions
· Compiles information to be used in the quarterly financial reporting documents.
· Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
· Preparation of 10-K and 10-Q disclosures.
· Preparation of GAAP checklist.
· Preparation statement of cash flow worksheet.
· Accounting research as needed including acquisition-related accounting.
· Other ad hoc analysis.
· Maintain facility and bed counts in coordination with other departments.
· Adheres to financial controls over financial reporting.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
· Minimum of five years of accounting experience.
· Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.
· Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
· Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
· Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
· Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
· Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
· Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
· English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.
· Preferred: CPA
