Job Description :

Our NYC based CPA firm client is establishing a Nashville presence and seeking a Senior Auditor to join their team. This diverse boutique firm has a rich history of being the trusted accounting and tax advisor for international clients doing business in the US. Their firm is small enough to provide an unusual degree of personal service, yet large enough to provide every type of professional support required by their clientele. 


 


The role of the Senior Auditor is to perform audit procedures in complex areas, while building technical competence and function as the primary day to day contact for the audit client.  The Senior Auditor will take ownership for delivery of high quality audit work, supervise the execution of complex parts of an audit engagement, develop staff members through coaching and audit experience, and develop credibility by displaying insight, business acumen, technical competence and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and audit team members.    


 


Other Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with audit clients

  • Direct field work and manage staff performance

  • Keep engagement leaders informed of engagement status

  • Complete audit procedures and documentation for higher risk areas to broaden technical skills 

  • Contribute ideas and opinions to the audit teams

  • Participate in engagements for other business transactions


 


Required Qualifications :


  • A bachelor’s or graduate degree in accounting with 3+ years of related audit experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or sufficient coursework and active pursuit of CPA

  • Experience supervising, planning, executing and reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS. Knowledge of Italian GAAP will be a plus

  • Advanced written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong teamwork and leadership abilities

  • Integrity within a professional work environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally – 75% during busy season months and approx 20% rest of year
