Job Description :

Our client, an American producer, is searching for a Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing company in Franklin, TN.




Responsibilities:


Fixed Assets:



  • Fixed asset accounting (GAAP), entire accounting process (close and reconciliations)       

  • Aid plants with research and support

  • Prepare monthly Fixed Asset Roll Forward

  • Fixed Assets audit visits to two/three plants each year

  • Maintain fixed asset tax books for the Tax department – monthly, quarterly and annually

  • Prepare census reports relating to capital and non-capital expenditures spending - annually

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests – as requested

  • Coordinate and record fixed asset procedures and processes with Corporate IT


Leases:



  • Coordinate details of new leases and modifications with the procurement department

  • Update and maintain leasing data in lease accounting system and reconcile with general ledger

  • Record monthly entries to establish and amortize lease assets and liabilities

  • Track upcoming changes in lease status (i.e., expirations, renewals, etc.)


Other:



  • Responsible for SOX compliance in responsible areas

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Send monthly, quarterly and annual reports to various departments per monthly log.

  • Adding value by developing procedures and tools to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively


 


Systems used:


Oracle (GL and Fixed Asset Sub ledger), Blackline (JEs and reconciliations), Maximo, Hubble/GL Wand and excellent in Excel


Required Qualifications :


  • BA/BS with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance    

  • Knowledge of basic and intermediate accounting

  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting related computer applications (e.g., Oracle, Blackline Systems, GL Wand, Alteryx) would be beneficial

  • Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills

  • 3 – 5 years related accounting experience (with a medium to large manufacturing company preferred but not required)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
