Job Description :

Our client, an American producer, is searching for a Senior Accountant, Consolidations to join their team. The Senior Accountant, Consolidations is responsible for general accounting functions including, but not limited, to preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of internal financial statements and reports. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to be detail-oriented and organized. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-growing manufacturing company in Franklin, TN.


 


Responsibilities:



  • This position will also provide support to other accounting and Corporate functions, including Plant controllers, shared services, legal, tax and external reporting.

  • Lead and conduct the consolidation and reporting processes, including accounting for the impact of foreign exchange rates and elimination of intercompany balances and investment in subsidiaries

  • Perform complex balance sheet account reconciliations, effectively researching and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analytical reviews and present findings to management

  • Prepare governmental filings, including census and unclaimed property reports

  • Prepare support for statutory audits of foreign subsidiaries and corporate income tax audits

  • Assist in preparation of necessary audit schedules to support SEC filings and footnote disclosures

  • Assist with the Company’s SOX 404 program and develop and maintain process and controls documentation as needed

  • Interface with external auditors for periodic financial reviews, controls testing and other inquiries

  • Assist in creating and developing efficiencies within consolidation process

  • Maintain regular contact with Plant level accounting teams to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions or other erroneous data

  • Keep management informed of area activities and any significant problems

  • Attend and participate in meetings as necessary 

  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required


Required Qualifications :


  • BA/BS with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance    

  • 3 – 5 years related accounting experience (with a medium to large manufacturing company preferred but not required)

  • Knowledge of basic and intermediate accounting

  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting related computer applications (e.g., Oracle, Blackline Systems, GL Wand, Alteryx) would be beneficial

  • Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
