Develop and document the company's quality standards and testing processes against specific criteria.

Lead failure analysis efforts to identify root cause, establish contingency plans to support short-term production, quality and customer requirements and work with other functional groups to define, develop and implement corrective action in a timely manner.

Verify product/part dimensions, color, texture and strength and locate imperfections.

Support FMEA activities for both design and process.

Manage projects to improve or modify a product/part to meet a specific customer or business need.
-
Develop schedules, cost estimates and provide regular project updates to management.
-
Proactively identify opportunities for product, process and operational improvements.
-
Work closely with manufacturing during pre-production builds to minimize cost, improve DFM and improve total product quality.

Ability to lead and develop team.

Ability to lead a cross functional team in problem solving is required

American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred
-
Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability learn ERP business system

Excellent project management skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Experience in sheet metal, forming, stamping, welding and/or assembly processes

In depth knowledge of mechanism design, life testing and production support

Understanding regulatory agency requirements - AGA, UL, CE, CSA

High volume, discreet manufacturing experience
