Job Description :
Our client is a leader in their market and due to growth they are looking to add a Procurement Specialist to their Team. Great position for growth potential for the right person. 
Required Qualifications :
 


  • Create purchase orders according to production plan




  • Maintain acceptable inventory amounts from domestic and overseas suppliers




  • Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand, and availability of capacity in conjunction with Operations Leadership




  • Identify and address short-term supply constraints; analyze daily supply/demand alerts and address or escalate accordingly




  • Interface with QA and warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials, making the necessary arrangements with operations or procurement to ensure prompt replacement




  • Maintain and provide valid lead time data to sales and marketing organization to guard against over-committing company resources and/or parts and materials




  • Assist in Engineering Changes and new product development through sourcing, prototyping and costing of parts


    QUALIFICATIONS:






  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing feasible and balanced supply plans, in accordance with demand, to support targets consistent with customer requirements for short, medium and long-term capacity planning




  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and collaboration key stakeholders




  • Ability to proactively diagnose and address potential issues in supply shortage or customer service interruption (e.g. resource requirements planning constraints)




  • Data mining reporting skills through MS-Excel; specifically V-lookup and Pivot tables




  • Ability to drive continuous process improvements and lead small scale projects




  • Ability to apply appropriate process improvement tools and techniques




  • Possess a strong attention to detail.




  • Prefer to have an understanding of a range of production planning and execution systems including experience in Pull/Kanban processes
