Job Description :

Our client is looking to hire a Plant Manager for 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of Second Shift production deliverables by setting goals for performance and deadlines for each department in ways that comply with company's plans and vision. It is an integral part of the manufacturing management team.


Required Qualifications :
 


  • Organize workflow and ensure that supervisors understand their duties and obligations.


        Lead, monitor and audit Departments productivity.


        Develop and share daily production management report with 1st shift manager.


        Implement and adhere to all workplace policies, procedures and safety protocols


        Manage finish goods inventory.


        Address and resolve reported defective materials, spills or questionable conditions within your shift.


        Provide constructive feedback, coaching and oversee ongoing training on the floor


        Take appropriate corrective action in accordance with company policy including reporting incident to   


          safety coordinator and human resources department leader.


        Complete annual performance appraisals on department supervisors as directed by management


          and advise on merit increases as appropriate


        Ability to read and interpret layout details and parts lists, as well as use tape measure and calipers


        Be punctual, dependable and energetic while maintaining a high level of attention to detail as you


          multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.


        Be a contributing member to the management team.


        Ensure ongoing compliance of safe operation of all material handling equipment.


        Ensure housekeeping of department is maintained throughout the day by applying 5S practices.


        Pass a forklift test for certification with TAG, as required


        Balance people decisions against the needs of the business.


        Recognize employees needs and motivate them to prevent burnout


        Develop S.M.A.R.T value added goals for employee’s and measure success in achieving the goals.
