Job Description :
Our healthcare client is is experiencing rapid growth, both organically as well as through acquisition.THey are looking to hire a Manager of Financial Accounting and Reporting that will 

be responsible for managing all activities associated with the preparation, review, and dissemination of information relating to the Company’s overall financial performance, operational performance and progress toward strategic goals.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage and provide timely and accurate monthly corporate reporting as required for multiple health plan entities, holding companies, and the management company that supports the operations of the health plans.

  • Timely and accurate reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Provide support and analysis to the Finance Department Statutory Reporting Group to support financial regulatory filings as well as support all audits and/or state financial examinations.

  • Responsible for review of monthly IBNR analyses and Part D analyses provided by accounting staff.

  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of shared savings accruals and payments for the health plans and for review of timely payment of capitation, partner payments, etc.

  • Provide management commentary on monthly and quarterly results which are presented internally to the health plan executive teams, senior internal management and BOD of each specific health plan.

  • Provide guidance and oversight for the consolidation and financial statement preparation on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Support the accounting reconciliation for the Medicare bids, review projections, and coordinate/prepare ad-hoc Statutory balance sheet projections

  • Provide budget analysis and input in the annual corporate budgeting process as it pertains to health plan entities as well as the management company

  • Ensure annual K-1s are issued timely to health plan partners.


 


Required Qualifications :

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance


 


Experience:  Five (5) years’ related experience with managed care experience preferred.  Working knowledge of ERP financial applications and data warehouse or relevant subsystems. Advanced knowledge of Excel, modeling and ad hoc analysis.  Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and the insurance industry


 


License/Certification(s):


Certified Public Accountant a plus
