Job Description :
Well established company is seeking a Internal Audit and Revenue Cycle Manager who will combine financial competencies with a strong understanding of revenue cycle, including compliance.
Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, assist, or conduct compliance audits, and investigations as required, which may include audits designed to review the adequacy of medical record documentation to support claims, as well as inquiries into suspected or reported deviation from compliance program requirements.

  • Develop and implement audit tools that align with audit protocols and regulatory guidance.

  • Assists facilities with audit and re-bill projects related to potential governmental payment issues.

  • Monitor corrective action plans and risk areas to schedule ad hoc validation reviews.

  • Performs research and analysis on Corporate and federal payer rules, regulations and transmittals and communicates requirements to operational areas. Assist the Director of Internal Audit in risk analysis, planning, auditing and program development for compliance and financial activities throughout Company

  • Analyze compliance and internal process risks for all Company operational and financial areas.


Required Qualifications :

  • Must be a proactive self-starter who is able to work independently.

  • Articulate communicator who interacts well with leaders at all levels of the organization.

  • A desire for continuous learning with an eye for process improvement.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience in financial or healthcare audits. Prefer candidate with at least two years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounting/Auditing, Medical Coding, Risk Planning/Compliance or Healthcare Billing

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Health Administration or Health Information

  • Management or similar degree required.  CPA or MBA preferred, but not required.

  • Travel may be required periodically with this position but is not expected to exceed 25% of time now or in the immediate future.
