Job Description :

Our East Nashville client is looking for a Human Resources Director to join their team. The HR Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day human resources operations in support of organization/department objectives. 


 


Other responsibilities will include:



  • Administration of human resources-related policies and programs including organizational planning and development, training and development opportunities, employee relations, compensation and employee recognition program, with support of HR staff to ensure organizational practices, policies, and programs are administered to established standards.

  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and guidelines to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services. 

  • Assists and advises management on HR-related issues.

  • Responsible for interpretation of current policies, formulating HR policies and procedures and making recommendations regarding development of organizational policies and practices for the organization.

  • Manages and directs staff in support of organization goals and objectives. 

  • Leadership responsibilities include reinforcing key organizational messages to foster employee understanding of mission and vision; exemplifies core values.


Required Qualifications :


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent work experience. SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification required.

  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of high-level HR management experience with a background in employment law, compensation, performance management and employee relations; including 5 years of supervisory experience.

  • Working knowledge of the HR operational functions including but not limited to HRIS (UltiPro preferred) and report analyses, payroll, compensation, employee relations, policies and procedures, compliance, communications, etc.

  • Strong organization skills with ability to perform multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced challenging team environment.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities necessary to relate with a diverse population of employees in a confidential manner. Must have a high level of judgment with a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

  •  Must be professional and able to maintain confidentiality. Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and a knowledge of current HR legislation, trends and development.
