Job Description :
Our healthcare client is seeking a Director of Human Resources  to lead all HR employee relations, engagement and training for the company comprised of multiple complex business lines. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Ensure HR programs, services and initiatives are aligned with AHP objectives

  • Oversees operational aspects of HR Engagement delivery for the field

  • Provides oversight for HR programming to include HR compliance, employee relations, retention, action planning, engagement, performance management and training delivery. 

  • Member of the Human Resources Leadership Team. Under direct the oversight of the Sr VP of HR works to develop and implement new HR initiatives across the enterprise.

  • Provides leadership/direction and mentorship to HR team members.

  • Partners with Regional Operations Directors, Business leaders, Clinical Leaders to ensure HR is meeting the needs of the organization and geographically designated operations that transcend business lines.

  • Partners to determine staffing needs and sourcing approach. Collaborates with educational institutions to proactively meet the staffing needs through recruitment and development of new programs that attracts staff, students and volunteers to the healthcare industry. 

  • Develops a talent pipeline of diverse individuals and implements other supportive activities and programs across business spectrum 

  • Leads efforts to analyze and evaluate results of employee performance management processes; identifies gaps and works with leaders to create plans to close such gaps. 

  • Provides leadership, participates in and recommends personnel actions to attract, retain and motivate people  for all levels.

  •  Responsible for all Training (Learning and Development) across the continuum. 


  • Provides context/analytic support to business leaders which involves providing guidance in interpreting and ascertaining business/operational reports and performance analysis data as it pertains to the areas of HR Operations; expertise in UltiPro preferred.

  • Create common tools, methods, techniques and systems to measure and monitor success.

Policy development/interpretation and application:

  • Recommends policy and program development to ensure equitable job relationships, internal cost effectiveness and external competitiveness.

  • Establishes guidelines and participates in determination of overall organizational policy. Develops, implements and interprets approved policies and programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations such as EEO, ADA and OSHA, DOL, etc. Develops training programs relating to such regulations for management.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, and Compliance Programs, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications :

  • 10 years Human Resources leadership experience

  • Employee Relations, Retention, Engagement and Training leadership experience

  • Worked in multidimensional organization/highly regulated environment

  • Experience in leading teams and customer focused 

  • Bachelors required

  • HR Certification(s) preferred

  • Healthcare background preferred but not required
