Director of Finance and Accounting-14261
Upon hire, the successful candidate will:
· Assist in defining the reporting structure for the new system through collaboration with the senior management team and other stakeholders
· Assist with the implementation of a new accounting system
· Assess policies and procedures performed by current finance consultants and determine necessary changes or improvements
· Assist in the hiring and training of accounting staff
Upon completion of implementation of accounting system, the successful candidate will:
· Manage all financial activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting and reporting
· Develop and implement financial policies, procedure and internal controls
· Support executive directors and other community personnel through financial reporting and analysis, including assistance with variance analysis
· Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and reporting obligations
· Oversee accounts payable, receivable and cash management functions
· Manage 3-4 clerical and professional accounting staff
· Coordinate with external auditors for year end audits to comply with regulatory and lending requirements
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
· 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role
· Experience with accounting software implementation, Sage Intacct a plus
