Job Description :

The Director of Customer Service must have the ability to recognize their role as an integral and critical part of the company’s operations and have an attitude of cooperation with other departments, which together work to satisfy customer needs and deliver core value commitments to those customers. This job position reports to the CEO. Along with management experience, this individual requires the exercise of independent judgement, critical thinking, problem solving, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.


 


The primary function is to manage Customer Service Representatives and oversee all operations related to the Customer Service Department.


 


Essential Functions – Include but not limited to



  • Oversee and Manage Customer Service Representatives

  • Assist Customer Service Representatives with a variety of issues

  • Familiarity with many product lines from a substantial number of vendors

  • Familiarity with customer base

  • Communication with customers to clarify purchase intentions and answer a variety of customer questions regarding order

  • Research product for customer to cross reference for contract compliance and/or obscure items

  • Communication with vendors where necessary to ensure proper ordering, pricing and delivery of orders

  • Provide quotes for both manufacturers’ representatives and customers

  • Provide customers with order status and proof of delivery if necessary

  • Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction

  • Process, assist and follow up with Product Damages and Returns, including incorrect product, dissatisfaction with product, damaged product, etc.

  •  Assist order entry with product knowledge, questions and preparing quotes as required

  • Work with vendors to schedule Lunch & Learn meetings with team members

  • College degree preferred but not required
