• Lead in the development of, and adherence to, internal accounting policies, in compliance with GAAP and other key regulatory bodies


• Drive implementation of the company’s tools and systems and ensure best practices at acquired practices.

• In addition, support business development team with closing true-up process


• Oversee and drive key internal accounting process including lease accounting and fixed assets.


• Assists the accounting function in identifying and prioritizing process improvement efficiencies across the function through technology and automation solutions.


• Partner with the VP of Accounting in interim and annual audit planning and preparation


• Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external constituents regarding financial reporting and analytics, ensuring proper status communication concerning timelines and expectations.


• Proficiency with US GAAP accounting application, internal controls, valuation techniques, and project management practices and familiarity with close processes and accounting implications of various deal structures


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with new partner practices and effectively translate new processes.


• Positive energy and ability to rapidly develop positive relationships with others is critical for this position


• Highly organized with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines with a proactive approach


• Ability to be a sole contributor to the team and influence where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills


• Participates as appropriate in regular education and professional development programs and activities that pertain to healthcare and latest accounting standards.

Education/Experience Required:

• Healthcare (particularly physician practice management) experience preferred but not required.


• Big 4 experience a plus


• CPA preferred.
