The fast growing distributor is adding a Customer Service Rep as an integral and critical part of the company’s operations and have an attitude of cooperation with other departments, which together work to satisfy customer needs and deliver core value commitments to those customers. This individual requires the exercise of independent judgement, critical thinking, problem solving, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions
Assist Customers and Vendors with a variety of issues
Familiarity with many product lines from a substantial number of vendors
Familiarity with customer base
Communication with customers to clarify purchase intentions and answer a variety of customer questions regarding order
Research product for customer to cross reference for contract compliance and/or obscure items
Communication with vendors where necessary to ensure proper ordering, pricing and delivery of orders
Provide quotes for both manufacturers’ representatives and customers
Provide customers with order status and proof of delivery if necessary
Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction
Assist order entry with product knowledge, questions and preparing quotes as required
