Job Description :

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller is a senior leader and integral member of the management team. The Controller is be responsible for all accounting/tax operations and financial, planning and analysis (FP&A) activity. The Controller role involves significant collaboration across the company’s operations - working closely with the sales, aftermarket, and other support function teams to provide optimal “value-add”, efficiency and effectiveness. This effective Controller will be effective in leading, managing and coaching a team to drive increased alignment with the company’s businesses units.  The Controller manages a staff of 6 professionals (4 staff accountants and 2 AP specialists).


The successful candidate needs to be able to adapt to and implement change as well as have an executive presence.



  • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions

  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements – with variance analysis

  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate reporting of consolidated business results

  • Balance sheet, cash flow, and treasury management

  • Coordinating activities of external auditors

  • Providing management with information and responding to ad-hoc requests vital to decision-making

  • Co-managing the budget process with the CFO

  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

  • Governance/Compliance leadership and management

  • Risk Management

  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems

  • Future participation in ERP migration selection, plan, and execution

  • Tax preparation and compliance, including oversight of state sales tax collection

  • Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff

Required Qualifications :

  • Proven track record in financial/accounting/controller management role

  • Strong business acumen and FP&A experience

  • Strong analytical capability

  • Experience partnering across functions/businesses is a requirement

  • Good staff development and leadership skills

  • Ability to drive/maintain empowerment and accountability at the highest level

  • Great Plains and/or general ERP experience is preferred

  • Experience with financial data mapping and/or ERP conversion is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred
