Our client, a privately held manufacturing company west of Nashville, is seeking a Corporate Controller to be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial reporting, cost analysis, inventory management, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls. The role involves collaboration with family leadership to ensure the company's financial health and strategic decision-making aligns with family values and long-term goals.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Prepare financial statements and analyze trends, variances, and areas for cost control and improvement.

·       Provide insightful financial reports to family leadership to support strategic decision-making.

·       Analyze manufacturing costs to identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with operations teams to optimize production processes and reduce costs.

·       Oversee inventory control procedures

·       Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

·       Facilitate audits and tax return preparation.

·       Develop operating budgets and monitor variances.

·       Lead and mentor the accounting and IT teams

·       Oversee payroll processing, manage health insurance costs, administer the 401(k) plan, and ensure compliance with employee benefit regulations.

Qualifications Desired

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA a plus, not required).

·       10+ years of proven accounting experience.

·       Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with a family-owned business.

·       Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and finance law.

·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, and financial analysis tools.
