Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and programmatic regulations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to identify and institute appropriate processes and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders and business partners while meeting deadlines. This role reports to the CEO and supports all lines of business in the company.

Responsibilities

·         Manage all aspects of the company's (and subsidiary entities) financial operations, including cash, loans receivable and payable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger accounting

·         Perform regular account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data

·         Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

·         Prepare and analyze financial statements and budgets

·         Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

·         Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements

·         Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

·         CoordinatetheannualauditandtaxreturnpreparationprocesswiththeCompany’soutside accounting firms to ensure accurate and timely completion.

·         Ensurethatallaccountingandfinancialreports,taxreturns,etc.aretimely,credible,reliable, and informative.

·         Monitorperformanceofdirectreports.

Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

·         7-15 years of experience in accounting, with prior experience in a management role

·         Experience with implementing new processes and driving process improvements

·         Proven experience as a Controller or similar role

·         Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial concepts, and budgeting processes

·         Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills

·         Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

·         Identify and recommend technology solutions to enhance financial operations, including software and other financial tools

·         Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders

·         Experience with general ledger reconciliation and account analysis

·         Strong Cost Accounting background
