Job Description :
Our client, a behavioral healthcare firm, has an immediate need for a temporary or temp-to-perm Controller/Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager. This role will be responsible for oversight of accounts payable, payroll, general ledger management, external audit management and financial analysis. This role ensures proper and timely accounting to the trial balance level, where the finance director handles all financial reporting duties.
Other responsbilities include:
- Monitor the financial performance of the company.
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
- Prepares thirteen-week cash flow projections on weekly basis.
- Develop and manage financial and internal controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management and private equity partner.
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Monitors and confirms financial condition; providing information to external auditors.
- Assist with budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions. Works with outside tax firm to complete federal, state and local filings.
- Manages all aspects of the payroll function.
- Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assist CFO on various financial related projects and analysis.
- Other items that arise in the course of business.
Required Qualifications :
- Must have at least 7 years of general ledger accounting experience, working to at least an accounting manager level
- Multi-entity, multi-site experience required
- Must be analytical in nature
- Healthcare experience (if a candidate does not have healthcare experience they need to be an A)
- Strong Excel skills
Work Arrangement: Remote
Duration: At least 3 months – this could definitely go permanent.
Schedule: 45-50 hours/week
