Rapidly growing highly successful company seeks Controller to provide strategic guidance, leadership and coordination of company’s accounting and finance function. Areas of responsibility include financial planning & analysis, treasury, project and budget management functions as well as financial reporting, both internal and external. Experience with manufacturing, engineering or construction a plus. CPA required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Direct and coordinate company accounting, financial planning & analysis, treasury and budget management functions.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
- Coordinate financial modeling of potential business and presentation to clients and upper management.
- Cash flow management.
- Preparation and presentation of all financial reporting to board of directors and all internal and external sources.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Directly handle all commercial banking activities.
- Manage the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Provide required financial information to advisory board and lenders/investors.
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 8-10 years practical experience in Finance or Accounting in a Controller capacity.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted Accounting Principles.
- Knowledge of federal and multi-state financial regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Ability to design, build, audit and review financial models, ensuring that the functionality and reporting meet the company’s needs and that the models are built using best practice techniques with complete user documentation.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time-frames and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Experience with multi-facility corporate structure and reporting with preference for knowledge in the areas of manufacturing, engineering or construction.
