Position Overview


Our privately held financial services client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, guiding the company's financial strategy, ensuring fiscal stability, and collaborating with the executive team to develop and implement long-term financial plans aligned with the company's strategic goals. Key duties include financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, risk mitigation, financial reporting, revenue cycle management, investor/buyer diligence, bank partnerships, and leading the finance and accounting team while providing critical financial insights to support informed decision-making.


 


 


Key Responsibilities


Financial Strategy and Planning




  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.




  • Create detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and financial models to guide strategic decision- making.




  • Analyze financial performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.




  • Lead investor/buyer communications and diligence.




 


Financial Operations Management




  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including revenue recognition, expense management, and financial reporting.




  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.




  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and debt obligations.




  • Manage and maintain important partner relationships – banking, insurance (health and commercial), etc.




  • Oversee the billing and collections operations ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place to facilitate the timely collection of customer balances and minimize write-offs.




Risk Management




  • Identify potential financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.




  • Monitor key financial indicators and implement controls to safeguard company assets.




Financial Reporting and Analysis




  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for senior management and stakeholders.




  • Oversee bank covenant compliance and reporting.




  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into business performance and trends.




Team Leadership




  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.




  • Recruit, train, and mentor finance professionals.




Strategic Partnerships




  • Collaborate closely with other departments (sales, operations, etc.) to ensure alignment with financial goals.




  • Work with the CEO and executive team to drive strategic initiatives and growth plans.




 
Required Qualifications :

 


Required Skills and Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA a plus




  • Extensive experience in financial management, ideally in a professional services environment




  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing an accounting and finance team




  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data




  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders
