Chief Financial Officer – Franklin, TN

Our rapidly growing specialty healthcare services client has an innovative business model, partnering with specialty physician practices and health systems to bring research to the point of care and enabling patients who are not well served by the current standard of care to participate in clinical trials. The business has a proven track record of scaling rapidly since it was founded in 2018, with recent revenue growth at a 50% CAGR. The company’s growth will be funded from its recent eight-figure investment from a global growth investor who now owns the company alongside the founders and management.




Specific Responsibilities of the CFO




    Form strong business partnerships with the CEO and board, as well as other key executives/stakeholders including the Finance team to serve as a well-respected thought leader on strategic, operational and commercial issues.


    Own, lead and scale all aspects of finance including: accounting/reporting, FP&A, NWC and A/R, A/P management, treasury/cash management, broader balance sheet management, and tax


    Provide insightful and trusted counsel to the CEO, peers and investors on both financial and broader business topics


    In partnership with the leadership team, develop the company’s short and long-term financial plans and reconcile all the potential business directions into a set of key objectives.


    Create efficient processes and internal controls across the organization that result in timely and accurate financial reporting.


    Deliver a robust and consistent internal data architecture that drives key business insights and timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to internal business partners and investors.


    Maintain the accuracy and transparency of financial forecasting, thus providing the management team and board with meaningful financial information and analysis that adds value to the decision-making process. Including leading the annual budgeting process, ad-hoc reforecasting, and a long-range planning, as required.


    Successfully balance corporate fiduciary responsibilities with the demands of a profitable, growing business by being mentally agile and adaptable as the organization evolves.


    Determine the appropriate business objectives, budgeting/planning process and associated metrics with the senior team and investors and ensure they align with strategy and operational plans


    Upskill, lead and mentor a world-class, forward-thinking finance function with the ability to add strategic value to the wider business


 


Required Qualifications :
 The ideal candidate has a strong track record of being a thought-partner in high achieving and highly motivated management teams, and building scalable finance functions that can support the future growth of the business both directly with impeccable finance function delivery and indirectly through a value-additive FP&A function.  An advanced degree in accounting or finance (CPA or MBA preferred) with 15+ years of progressive experience in a high growth, private equity backed company in a related industry is desired.
