Job Description :
Growing PE backed company seeks hands on CFO to provide strategic guidance, leadership and coordination of company’s accounting and finance function.  Areas of responsibility include financial planning & analysis, AP/A/R, collections, treasury, budgeting and reporting, both internal and external.  Experience with property management, real estate development or other related industry preferred.  CPA required.


  • Partner with CEO as officer of the company with complete oversight of the accounting, FP&A, treasury and budgeting.  Will participate in capital raises and in setting strategic direction of the company

  • Coordinate month end close and reporting.

  • Oversight of treasury function, including cash flow management, banking relationships and debt covenant reporting.

  • Preparation and presentation of all financial reporting to PE firm and all internal and external sources.

  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

  • Manage the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

  • Provide required financial information to advisory board and lenders/investors.

  • Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.



Required Qualifications :


  • 8-10 years practical experience in Finance or Accounting in a Controller or CFO capacity. 

  • CPA required.  

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state financial regulations.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

  • Ability to design, build, audit and review financial models, ensuring that the functionality and reporting meet the company’s needs and that the models are built using best practice techniques with complete user documentation.

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time-frames and simultaneously manage several projects.

  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

  • Preference for experience in the areas of real estate or property management.
