Job Description :

Our healthcare client located in Franklin, TN is seeking an Assistant Director of Revenue Cycle that is analytical of processes, organized, focused and a change agent for the betterment of the company. This person should strategically enhance new ideas by utilizing their experience and ability to implement change and standardize process of Revenue Cycle (Central Billing & Collections, Denials & Appeals (ADRs)) while providing oversight of specific financial operational processes. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Review the ADR list in detail initially and then oversight/review of analytical reporting to finance and compliance and be able to understand trends and root causes to be proactive.

  • Manage/review ADR appeals before sending and develop a more controlled process for these appeals.

  • Work with all facets of the EMR system and current processes of claims and remain engaged and knowledgeable of the current status of each claim (i.e. Quantify Exposure or liability reserves; cause/effect of advanced levels of appeals).

  • Implement monthly Accounts Receivable Aging Reviews with facilities and management and strive to reduce write-offs of accounts due to non-payment.

    •  Implement new procedures for Bad Debt write-off discussions with accountability at facility and management levels.

    • Quantify in detail the various categories and reasons for aging receivables.  Oversee/change processes to minimize aging if applicable (i.e. Medicaid pending; private pay).

    • Cash collections – process redesign for private pay and Medicaid pending.

  • Streamline multiple third party software vendors used with the claims system into one vendor for better functionality on the front end of claims process instead of FTE manual reworks/corrections   (Currently use all:  Ability, Zirmed, eSolutions, Availity)

  • Analyze Revenue to ensure alignment with level of care and compliance  (i.e. PDPM….training of patient centered care and capture of services provided).

  • Comply with federal and state laws, and company policies and procedures.

  • Work with operations management in a collaborative manner to improving overall revenue cycle performance at the facilities.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory and industry standards including, but not limited to: Medicare and Medicaid regulations, MCOs policies, ANSI EDI standards, ICD-9 and 10, and future financial operating rules.

Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

At least five (5) years’ experience as a manager/director in revenue cycle management
