Job Description :

Our Client is seeking an Accounting Manager to help in our growing benefits and retirement practice. The position plays a leading role in executing the accounting operations of the AP, Treasury, Payroll, Month End close and Collections, including but not limited to the production of periodic financial reports, bank and balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Manager position is a hands-on role that requires not only management skills, but the necessity to “roll up your sleeves” and get into details.




  • Financial Reporting

    • Working with the Controller, drive the month end close process for TRPC and related Partner Firms

    • Review and approve monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries

    • Oversee the centralized Vendor payable process, including accruals and prepaid

    • Supervise the cash forecasting process with timely submission up to National Office

    • Work through a set of month end close journal entries with Staff Accountants

    • Assist with the preparation of all financial reports, balance sheet and bank recs

    • Review financial reporting from the India Service Center

    • Assist with billing as needed and ensure revenue is captured timely and accurately ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivable

    • Be an active member in the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process

    • Support technical accounting research for specific transactions or special projects

    • Assist with providing budget to actual variance explanations

  • Leadership & Teamwork

    • Supervise and coach staff accountants

Required Qualifications :


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • CPA preferred

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience; experience with operations preferred. Consulting or audit based public accounting experience preferred

  • Prior Microsoft SL accounting software experience or expansive GL experience

  • Experience in Financial Service or related industry

  • Experience working with offshore entities preferred

  • Experience with consolidations preferred

  • Proven track record of leading a team

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections

  • Have a proficiency with numbers, work well with people, anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines, and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work longer hours during peak periods

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

  • Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft software, including but not limited to: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Ability to successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines

  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with others

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
