Job Description :

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to provide execution and supervision of Payroll, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets and various Treasury management functions for multiple related companies. The critical Accounting Manager activities to achieve this are:


  • Oversee and provide leadership to direct reports encompassing payroll, accounts payable and inventory activities.

  • Invests in the team’s development and growth.

  • Direct all activities related to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings including the year-end audit.

  • Prepare, review and submit monthly financial statements.

  • Oversee the processing of the Company’s payroll and cash disbursements and acts as back-up to both.

  • Provide accurate and timely communication, reporting and support to all functional areas’ management regarding inventory,

  • payroll, accounts payable and general accounting activities.

  • Forecast short-range cash requirements and liabilities, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds to meet all Company

  • obligations.

  • Ensure department-level management is equipped with monthly cost center reporting.

  • Reviews all balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ensuring

  • transparency of business results

  • Maintain fresh perspective on functional area processes and procedures, with a controls mind-set, to ensure department

  • operations are efficient and effective.

  • Assesses and proposes system enhancements and drives process improvement. Actively participates in and/or drives system

  • projects when needed.

  • Compares performance with operating plans and standards. Includes formulation of accounting policies, the coordination of

  • systems and procedures, and the preparation of operating data and special reports as required.


Required Qualifications :


  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting required

  • Five to seven years prior general accounting, payroll and inventory experience and managerial experience of same; CPA

  • preferred

  • Proven knowledge of and experience with accounting systems

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently

  • Energetic, flexible, results-oriented, and proactive

  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Strong leader with ability and desire to build relationships, solve problems and productively impact tactical accounting initiatives.
