Job Description :

We have an Accounting Manager opportunity for a rapidly expanding healthcare IT company based in Nashville  that is transitioning the accounting function in-house. 

Accounting Manager Job Duties:

  • Prepare and maintain general ledgers, prepare monthly account reconciliations and allocations and related analysis.

  • Record journal entries and reconcile accounts during monthly closing process to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.

  • Monitor monthly results and provide explanations of variances versus plan.

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.

  • Develop monthly, quarterly financial reports, and monthly consolidations.

  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.

  • Assist with yearly audit and tax preparation.

  • Develop and prepare routine and ad-hoc reports as necessary.

  • Assist with generating quarterly financial reports including KPIs for Executive Management; shareholders and banks.

  •  Assist with completion of quarterly and annual regulatory filings and reconciliations.

  • Analyze and assist with business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations.

  • Needs to oversee payroll, A/P, A/R, invoicing, and cash management

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in financial accounting.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles.

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills.

  • Experience using accounting software required.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate skills of other MS Office products required.

  • Previous experience in healthcare preferred.

  • Strong analytical, financial and systems skills

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Displays superior self-motivation, attention to detail, integrity

  • Excellent oral and written communication, time/project management, and organizational skills
