Job Description :

Position Summary:


Our client, a full-service clearinghouse, is searching for an Accounting and Payroll Coordinator to join their team. This position is responsible for processing the Company’s payroll and assisting the accounting department by performing the following duties. This position is located in Nashville, TN.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Process bi-weekly payroll (Paycom experience preferred but not required)

  • Review and ensure accuracy of timesheets

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee questions

  • Process garnishment payments

  • Reconcile and review quarterly and annual tax submissions and W-2s created by Paycom and coordinate with Paycom to ensure timely filings

  • Coordination of efforts between Payroll, Human Resources and Accounting to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data

  • Process all payroll changes timely

  • Reconcile the employee related insurance bills

  • Prepare the Payroll journal entries

  • Reconcile payroll related balance sheet accounts

  • Assist with Accounts Payable data entry

  • Assist with review and processing of employee expense reports

  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

  • Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor and Vice President of Human Resources

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :


  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3 to 5 year(s) related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience processing payroll.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.

  • Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
